If I am going to be completely honest, I took this class because I needed another tech credit. I didn't realize how much I would love this class and editing photos. I have actually grown to love capturing moments and then perfecting them, to the best of my ability, on photoshop. My first time taking photos was a little shaky though, as my cat was very uncooperative, but I did manage to get a few good shots. I especially liked the photo I turned in as my best. That photo was, also, my first encounter with photoshop and I instantly fell in love with editing photos. I emphasized the colors in my cats eyes to really draw focus to her and I really like how I did that. The next photo was a bit of a struggle as I was struggling with getting the lighting right. We had just learned about shutter and aperture and I had waited until later in the evening to see if I could control the lighting more. I don't think it work out too well as there was quite a bit of digital noise in the pictures. A few turned out okay, but it wasn't my best shoot I really like the next photo and the most of the pictures I took that day. It took a lot of work to get a picture with the bee in it and not blurry. But I kept trying and I got this really good shot. I really struggled with the next shoot. I really wanted to take pictures of this concert that I was going to for the event assignment. It was really hard to get any good shots because it was so dark and there were so many people. I go a few okay shots and the picture I chose as my best I was really proud of because I edited out someones hand that was blocking part of the singers body. However, I messed with the exposure too much and the singers shirt blends into the background. I should've made sure you could see the difference. My favorite part of the class was actually photoshopping and editing the photos. I really like changing the images and making them look better. Also, I think I got pretty good at it as well. I am really grateful that I decided to take this class and for the skills I have gained.

For this assignment, we had to combine pictures to either define a certain word or make a play on words. DefinitionspunsWHAT I LEARNEDI really enjoyed this assignment and using photoshop. I learned about combining pictures and blending them together and how to properly use the gradient tool.
For this assignment, I focused on interesting lighting and shadows to enhance the image and change the feel of it. best photo- originalShutt: 1/30 App: 7.1 ISO: 100 best photo- editedIn photoshop, I adjusted the exposure and the brightness. other photoswhat i learnedI learned how to adjust my camera and scene to make the lighting play an important role in the photo. I learned how shadows and light can emphasize certain parts of the photos and can add interest.
For this assignment we had to look online and find tutorials to follow on photoshop. I ended up finding one to create a "mental sphere," to make polaroids, and to blend to photos together. Original PhotosEdited PhotosPop ColorMental SpherePolaroidsPhoto BlendWhat I learnedI learned how to use a lot of different tools on photoshop, like different selecting options, how to combine layers into groups, how to put a filter on things, and a lot more. I really enjoyed this assignment and I really want to continue to use photoshop even after this class.
best photo- originalFor this assignment, I turned photos I have already taken to black and white. I really wanted to bring out the textures of the photos and certain colors. Shutt: 1/200 App: 5.6 ISO: 80 best photo- editedI fixed to exposure and turned the picture black and white. I darkened the blues and lightened the reds to really emphasize the detailing. Other photosI really liked emphasizing on color of the photo. I, also, learned how making black and white can really enhance pictures by showing more texture or taking away distracting colors.
For this assignment, we had to take a normal photo of the school and use photoshop to create a new scene. I decided to go with the theme of Disney. Original photoEdited photowhat I learnedI learned how to paste new images as new layers and how to adjust certain layers. Also, I learned how to add different backgrounds.
For this assignment, I took pictures of interesting buildings. I was in Muskegon and took pictures of a bright red lighthouse. Best photo- uneditedShutt: 1/640 App: 3.4 ISO: 160 Best photo- editedI cropped the image to make it more even on the sides. Also, I adjusted the exposure, brightness, and contrast to make the red really stand out. other photosWhat i learnedI really enjoyed taking these pictures, but it was kinda hard since it was storming and grey. I really had to open up my aperture and in photoshop fix the exposure.
For this assignment we had to take pictures of people in the studio using lights or by a window using the natural light. In photoshop, we had to put two pictures on the same background and edit them to make look nice. I really enjoyed this assignment. I really liked taking pictures of people and I thought the editing process was fairly easy. I liked learning about how to make a frame around pictures and how to make a background for them. Overall, I think my pictures turned out pretty good.
Best PhotoOriginalShutt: 1/250 App: 4.0 ISO: 800 PhotoshoppedI cloned stamped the hand out of the picture because it was distracting from the main subject. Also, I changed the exposure, brightness, and saturation to make the subject pop more. Other photosWhat I learnedI learned that it was difficult to take pictures at a concert. It was difficult to get good lighting and trying to deal with a lot of people jumping around was hard. I was frustrated originally with my best photo because somebody threw there hand up as I was taking the picture, but luckily I was able to edit them out. Some of my pictures had a lot of digital noise because the lighting wasn't the best, but I was still able to get some photos.
For this assignment we had to take panoramic pictures of our subjects. This is something that would be good to use when taking landscape pictures or pictures of buildings. We had to take separate pictures and overlap them in photoshop. What I learnedThis was a lot harder than I expected. It was difficult to make sure that each picture was the same in settings and where the camera was pointing. Towards the end, I started to get the hang of it, I think.
