For this assignment, I took pictures of interesting buildings. I was in Muskegon and took pictures of a bright red lighthouse. Best photo- uneditedShutt: 1/640 App: 3.4 ISO: 160 Best photo- editedI cropped the image to make it more even on the sides. Also, I adjusted the exposure, brightness, and contrast to make the red really stand out. other photosWhat i learnedI really enjoyed taking these pictures, but it was kinda hard since it was storming and grey. I really had to open up my aperture and in photoshop fix the exposure.

For this assignment we had to take pictures of people in the studio using lights or by a window using the natural light. In photoshop, we had to put two pictures on the same background and edit them to make look nice. I really enjoyed this assignment. I really liked taking pictures of people and I thought the editing process was fairly easy. I liked learning about how to make a frame around pictures and how to make a background for them. Overall, I think my pictures turned out pretty good.
Best PhotoOriginalShutt: 1/250 App: 4.0 ISO: 800 PhotoshoppedI cloned stamped the hand out of the picture because it was distracting from the main subject. Also, I changed the exposure, brightness, and saturation to make the subject pop more. Other photosWhat I learnedI learned that it was difficult to take pictures at a concert. It was difficult to get good lighting and trying to deal with a lot of people jumping around was hard. I was frustrated originally with my best photo because somebody threw there hand up as I was taking the picture, but luckily I was able to edit them out. Some of my pictures had a lot of digital noise because the lighting wasn't the best, but I was still able to get some photos.
For this assignment we had to take panoramic pictures of our subjects. This is something that would be good to use when taking landscape pictures or pictures of buildings. We had to take separate pictures and overlap them in photoshop. What I learnedThis was a lot harder than I expected. It was difficult to make sure that each picture was the same in settings and where the camera was pointing. Towards the end, I started to get the hang of it, I think.
For this project I went out and took pictures of different elements in nature. I tried to focus on getting close to my subject and changing the perspective to make it more interesting. Best photoShutt: 1/160 App: 8.0 ISO: 100 other photoswhat i learnedI really enjoyed this assignment and it was really the first time that I felt like I had more of a handle on shutter and aperture. Also, I went outside at a different time to get better lighting.
For this assignment, we had to edit a photo of a car using new tools in photoshop. There was a finished photo of the car that we had to match as best as we could. orignial photoMy editdemowhat i learnedI learned how to clone stamp and how that can be applied to get rid of anything unwanted in my photos. Also, I learned how to select specific things in the photo, so that I don't edit a part of the picture I don't want to. I had some difficulties using the select tool, as it was hard to get the outline to go where I wanted it to, but after a few tries I kinda got the hang off it. Lastly, I learned how to color the background and tint certain parts of photos. Overall, I enjoyed this assignment.
For this assignment, I had to take pictures of an object kind of like for an advertisement. I decided to take pictures of records and a record player. best photoShutter: 0.8 App: 7.1 ISO: 800 Other photosWhat i learnedI learned how to change the shutter speed so I could capture differing variations of motion. Also, this then caused me to have to change this ISO and the aperture so that there wouldn't be too much or too little light. To help control the light, I tried turning off the lights and using my phone flashlight directly shining on the object to make more of a spotlight.
For this assignment, we have to follow step by step instructions to create a repeating image that was different colors. Orginal picturePOp artjust for funI learned how to use different layers and how that can be really helpful for editing pictures. Also, I learned how to properly crop, copy and paste an image. Lastly, I learned how to change the color of an image by changing the hue and saturation. I really enjoyed doing this assignment and am excited for doing more photoshop in the future.
For this assignment I had to take pictures of an animal and try to capture their personality and/or their environment. So, I decided to take pictures of my cat, Ping, while she played inside and around her box in our living room. BEst photoShutter: 1/20 App: 2.8 ISO:400 What i learnedI learned that trying to take pictures of a loud and angry cat is pretty difficult. Every time I lifted the camera to take a picture, she would look away completely ruining the shot. I had to use about half a can of treats to get her to stay and thankfully I did get some good shots. Taking pictures of her in her box provided a unique shot, but the lighting was a little difficult then. I mainly kept the camera in auto mode because I didn't want to waste time trying to get the right shutter or aperture and miss the shot of her doing something. Overall, I think the shoot went well.
